About us

Shropshire Dog Training Centre prides itself on strong family values. We believe in fairness, transparency, respect and a quality service.

The ultimate aim of Shropshire Dog Training Centre is to enable all people and dogs to live happily side by side, enriching the lives of all in the process.

There are, however, many elements to achieving this long term goal.

While we work towards this aim, in the short term we help owners to understand their dogs and show them how to train using the most efficient modern training methods.

Shropshire Dog Training Centre also offers FREE talks on dog safety, especially for children. Please contact us for more information.

Shropshire Dog Training Centre (formally School for Paws) was taken over in July 2015 by Laura Vaughan-Evans.

Laura began taking classes at the Centre in May 2012 and hasn't looked back.

When Laura was offered the opportunity to buy the business from Emma Collings* in July 2015, it was an opportunity not to be missed.

As well as changing the name, since taking over Laura has started rally obedience, gundog and scent work classes, as well as continuing with the puppy, adolescent and agility classes.

Shropshire Dog Training Centre will soon be offering Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award and other NEW classes and training workshops.

*Emma Collings sold the school to Laura Vaughan-Evans so that she can free up more time for a new venture in luxury dog boarding.  She is still however offering 1-2-1 training within the clients home and is continuing with agility for fun.

Owner and Head Trainer Laura Vaughan-Evans is the only certified Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Trainer (VSPDT) in Shropshire
